It’s time for another Microsoft 365 management expert tip this week! This one is a bit broader, but we may have a few management tips diving deeper into this one in the coming weeks.
Before we do, though, we’re getting close to having some exciting news to share about a new training offering from Intelligink. Keep your eye on your mailbox for more coming soon!
Conditional Access is our tip of the week! Ok, a little vague, but in my opinion, this is the single greatest feature of Microsoft Entra ID Plan 1 (formerly Azure AD P1). If you aren’t using it, you should; if you don’t have a license to use it, you should look at purchasing one. Why? This is one of the best things you can do to secure your Microsoft 365 tenant (outside of MFA). And this even lets you control those MFA prompts better than security defaults will.
Aside from MFA control, Conditional Access empowers you to limit which devices can access your tenant, which locations your tenant can be accessed from, and which controls are in place for users. You can also specify which apps can connect to Microsoft 365 (if any) and even block downloads from SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange. These policies can be customized, tweaked, and refined to focus on who and what you want to protect. So much so the limit for the number of policies is 195 policies per tenant, and I’ve seen people asking for more. It’s so customizable that organizations can come up with 200+ different policies they want to fine-tune that secure Access to their environment. Go start playing your conditional access deployment!

Hello Reader, Day 1 of the Microsoft 365 Community Conference in Orlando just wrapped up, and I'm hanging out in my hotel room writing this email. It was a great day of discussing Microsoft 365 with various people in the Ask the Expert room, a couple of keynotes, and just hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones. If you're down here too, and I haven't seen you, let me know! I would love to meet up! 💡A Microsoft 365 Management Tip: 🎉 News from the Microsoft 365 Community Conference in...

I did want to shoot over a quick email with a couple of late-breaking things this...
Hello Reader, We're getting close to summer (it's sort of already here in Florida...I'm writing this as the kids are swimming in the pool). It's also getting close to the Microsoft 365 Conference in Orland (it's only about two weeks away)! Regardless of whether you're going or not, there will also be some announcements around that time, so keep an eye on the Microsoft blogs at the end of this month! 💡A Microsoft 365 Management Tip: Auditing Exchange Online Mailboxes Auditing Microsoft 365...
